Fromm A335

The Fromm A335 is a steel strapping combination tool engineered for running 1/2” to 3/4” straps. It applies a sealless joint and is designed for ease of use. It can be used with both regular duty and high tensile steel strapping. A unique feature of this tool is that the seal doesn’t come off under extreme stress during transport. The result is that the shipped load is entirely safe during shipment.

How to Use Fromm A335?

Using this battery-powered strapping tool is simple and quick.

Strap Feeding

Make sure that the strapping is fed around the load in the right direction. The strap end should be held firmly with your left hand. Pull the strap towards yourself using the right hand.

Strap Loading

Follow these steps for loading the strapping:

  • Raise the rocker with your right hand
  • Keep inserting the 2 straps until they reach the strap stops. Make sure that one strap lies on the other when inserting.
  • The end of the lower strap should slightly extend beyond the end of the base plate.
  • The tool features strap guides. Make sure that the strap is held by these guides.

Strap Tensioning

When it comes to applying tension on the strap, the following steps should be followed:

  • Hold the tool tightly. Place your left hand on the sealing lever.
  • Move the tensioning handle forward/backward using your right hand. Keep moving the handle until you get the required tension.

Strap Sealing

Move the seal lever forward with your left hand. Keep moving forward until the lever stops. Move the lever back to its original position. The sealing force should be absorbed by your right hand. This is done by holding the tensioning handle.

Once the strapping is sealed and in place, it is easy to release the tool. This is done using the following steps:

  • Use your left hand to hold the cut strap end
  • Use your right hand to lift the rocker
  • Move the tool to the right of the strap
